Lusaka Mayor, Wilson Kalumba says the
corporate world should consider joining hands with the Lusaka City Council (LCC) in managing waste in the city.
Mr Kalumba says companies should not only come to Lusaka to make money, but also pay back to the communities in which they are operating through corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The Mayor said this over the weekend in Lusaka when he joined Deloitte Zambia employees in the on-going cleaning
exercise at Kamwala shopping area to prevent the further spread of cholera.
Meanwhile, Deloitte Zambia Senior
Partner, Humphrey Mulenga during the same exercise said his organization does not only reap economic benefits in the country but also strive to
give back to the community.
