The Energy Regulation Board is a statutory regulatory
body which now seeks to recruit for the following
positions:
1. Communications Officer (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To perform public relations functions for the purpose of
projecting a good image of the ERB.
2. Engineer - Fossil Fuels (x3) [Lusaka (x2), Kitwe (1)]
Job Purpose:
• The purpose of this job is to carry out performance and
compliance monitoring of licensed undertakings in the fossil
fuels sub-sector in order to ensure their compliance to
prescribed technical standards, safety and licensing
requirements set out by the ERB.
3. Training and Development Officer (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To identify staff training and development needs, develop a
training plan, identify training providers and oversee the
implementation of appropriate training initiatives to equip
staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to
carry out work-related tasks.
4. Accounts Assistant (Lusaka) (x3)
Job Purpose:
• The purpose of the job is to provide administrative and
accounting support to the Financial Accountant for day to
day transactions such as payables and receivables.
5. Engineer - Electricity (Kitwe) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• The purpose of this job is to monitor compliance and
performance of licensed enterprises to approved standards
and regulations in accordance with the Electricity and Energy
Regulation Acts.
6. Internal Auditor (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To review and assess ERB's business processes, controls,
practices and procedures in order to ensure adequacy of
security mechanisms for protection of ERB assets.
7. Statistician (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To create and maintain an integrated and comprehensive
energy database; and design research outcomes that
provide up to date information for policy analysis and
planning.
8. Economic Analyst - Electricity (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To monitor the economic / financial performance of
undertakings in the energy sector including pricing of energy
products and services; and undertaking regulatory audits.
9. Field Officer - Technical [Lusaka (1), Kitwe (1)]
Project Grade: Six (6)
Reports To: Zonal Manager - Fuel Marking Unit
Contract
Duration: One (1) year, fixed term contract
Job Purpose:
• To conduct tests on the quality of petroleum products at
retail outlets and all points of consumption to ensure
conformity with product quality standards as prescribed by
the Energy Regulation Act and subsidiary legislation and
other relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
10. Records Clerk (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To sort out incoming and outgoing mail and file other
documents following established filing system to facilitate
ease of retrieval and reference.
• To deliver and collect mail to and from ERB clients on
behalf of ERB officials using a motor vehicle or motor cycle.
11. Field Officer - Non Technical [Lusaka (1), Kitwe (1)]
Project Grade: Six (6)
Reports To: Zonal Manager - Fuel Marking Unit
Contract
Duration: One (1) year, fixed term contract
Job Purpose:
• To conduct tests on the quality of petroleum products at
retail outlets and all points of consumption to ensure
conformity with product quality standards as prescribed by
the Energy Regulation Act and subsidiary legislation and
other relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.

Job Purpose:

13. Laboratory Analyst [Lusaka (1), Kitwe (1)]

Reports To: Zonal Manager - Fuel Marking Unit
Contract Duration: One (1) year, fixed term contract
Job Purpose:
• To conduct testing of petroleum products for compliance
against Energy Regulation Act and subsidiary legislation and
other relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
14. Manager - Risk (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To identify, assess and monitor strategic and operational
risks to the Energy Regulation Board, and develop
appropriate course of actions to prevent and mitigate the
exposure.
15. Project Assistant (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Project Grade: Five (5)
Reports To: National Coordinator - Fuel Marking Unit
Contract Duration: One (1) year, fixed term contract
Job Purpose:
• To provide effective and efficient administrative support
services to the Fuel Marking Project to facilitate smooth
operations.
16. Financial Accountant (Lusaka) (1 Position)
Job Purpose:
• To provide an efficient accounting service to ensure proper
management of finances, financial transactions and records
in accordance with acceptable accounting principles,
procedures and standards.
