ZAFFICO takes over Kawambwa Tea Estate
The Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation
(ZAFFICO) has taken over the ownership of Kawambwa Tea
Estate, with immediate effect.
Kawambwa Tea Company Manager, Johns Bunda confirmed
the takeover of the beleaguered State company which he
says has since changed its name to ZAFFICO Tea Company.

Luanshya woman in police custody for inserting grains of sand in her “rivals” Vagina
A Luanshya woman only identified as Kunda Grace has been arrested for disorderly conduct and indecent assault says Copperbelt province commissioner of police Charity Katanga.
Ms Katanga has confirmed that Ms Kunda of house number 178/27 Mpatamatu township together with other boys assaulted a 47year old woman of the same area by way of inserting sand in her genitals after suspecting her of having an adulterous affair with her husband.

Linda Kasonde becomes the first woman to be elected as President of LAZ

Linda Kasonde has been elected as President of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) at the Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 16th April, 2016 at the Avani Victoria Falls Resort (former Zambezi Sun International Hotel), in Livingstone.
She becomes the first woman to be elected
President of LAZ.
Ms Kasonde has served in various capacities in LAZ from an ordinary member, honorary secretary and was until now deputizing George Chisanga.

Teen Commonwealth International title that was held at Radisson Inn in
the United Kingdom.
The Miss Teen Commonwealth is the junior title for Commonwealth
beauty pageants and is open to females aged between 16 and 19 who have
never been married, never had children and whose country of origin is a
member of the Commonwealth. This may be the country of origin of
either the father or the mother.

currently owns and runs Zambia’s second largest maize mill, a strong luxury bus
fleet and trucks, a traditional beer brewery and markets foodstuffs.
He also plays the money markets. However, although the son of Zambia’s
first African minister of agriculture, this 50-year-old entrepreneur began his
business empire with a $1,000 loan from his mother.
