Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa's spouse
Mwamba Tuesday afternoon hosted a luncheon for children
with disabilities and various health conditions in Mansa.
Over 70 out of 150 children with disabilities and other health
conditions gathered at the Minister's residence to a
sumptuous meal which Mrs. Chilangwa personally served.
The event which was also attended by United Church of
Zambia (UCZ) women was characterized by spiritual songs of
praise to thank God for the lives of the children.
Mrs. Chilangwa pledged to push for empowerment for
mothers whose children were disabled and had complicated
health conditions.
She said the meal was aimed at launching her friendship with the children.
“This is the beginning, this is not ending here. I would like to
assure you of my support. I will be your voice. Please be
thankful to God in every situation. These children are a gift
from God; please don't hide them away from the public eye.
They are part of us,” said Mrs. Chilangwa.
The Minister's wife has since appealed to Wells wishers who
may be willing to help in way to contact.
