In direct reference to Chinua Achebe of the Things fall apart..'Where are the men?'...Men who can not fall for everything because the can stand on Something. It is a fundamental human right the presumption of innocence
until proven guilty. It is a folly to cut the only tree that provides shade at the headman's home.
It is surprising how
men can fall for anything and lose stance and pride...these are men that Okonkwo rubbishes of no stamina and courage.
When a swarm of bees cloud the King's head, the brevity of wounds is fatal to the kingdom. It is unwise for the King to drink from the cup that led other Kings to lose their throne. Some men need to understand that when you don't laugh to a joke you will laugh at your death point....Where are the men?
Not long ago a man I consider to be elder brother of Mine
and Leader in his own right has discreated the path of
throne with vomit of hurtred and unproven allegation gainst
senior Citizens. Not long ago a man applied an affidavit to be
joined to the DBZ loan Scandal to defend the and speak for
the voices of many .Today he is a lone voice in the
wilderness preaching but the gospel of doom and
division, he is not st John.
Civil Society organisation are impartial watchdog of the
society not the dogs of the society that looms around aimlessly and bit innocent people with deceit without
shame. Politicians have managed to change good people
who are supposed to provide objective contribution to the
society into mouth piece of doom and division critics
without mirrors and touch.
Mac Donald Chipenzi, a once
vibrant FODEP Director is now a mouth peace of controversy,
objecting progressive ideas using people of religious
character as cohorts of Untrained generals. An activist and an
elder man Dande Sanders is now on rampage to discredit
the government who he proclaimed will never win an
election on prime TV. He now claims nothing good will come
from parliament. Chilufya Tayali of the Zambian Voice is now
a lone voice of unfounded allegation spitting vernom on
senior citizens and passing judgement on them even before
the courts of law can do so and also Bringing the name of
the president into disrepute by his allegation of a concocted
tribunal and an invisible hand by the President. These
where once men of hounor who stood for something but
today the forces of soul selling to the highest bidder seems
to grip their fate and cast them to doldrum of the other side
of history.
Where are the men..? Great respect to Mr
Mtewewe of Young African Leaders Initiative atleast they are
consistent and objective ,a call that saw them wounded out
of the Grand Coalition.
