Why are some people complaining that Clifford Dimba popularly known as General Kanene is not on the list of those pardoned on African Freedom Day by the President?
Firstly why should Kanene be pardoned? Because he is musician? Is it because he mocked the parents of the girl he defiled in his "Kansapato" song? Could it be because he has never been remorseful of his actions till now? Ok may be it is because he has sung one or two songs in support with the
government while in prison?
It is stupid for a full grown man to take advantage of a minor, buy her Lolly Pop (sweet) just to see what is beyond her pants
because a real principled man will usually go for adult
decent lady. If it is just sex that matters then any man is at
liberty to go along many streets of Lusaka where sex
workers undress before they even get a man to propose to
them. Why destroy the life of a girl child who can't make a
sound decision on her own? Shame!!
The damage done to that young mind can never be repaired
by 25 years of imprisonment and people like Dimba should
save the full sentence because they have to be role models.
The guy should save not less than 15 years without seeing a
woman's pant and may be, just may be he will know when,
where and to whom he should zip on and off because my
daughters needs a safe place and safe people to be around
with.
