The National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting the needy and uplifting their lives through the corporate social responsibility (CSR).
With respect to World AIDS Day commemoration, NAPSA has donated 10 wheelchairs valued at K18,000 to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH).
And Yollard Kachinda, NAPSA acting director general said the authority recognizes the need to undertake corporate social responsibility activities in a purposeful and sustainable manner.
“We want to support society and impact the quality of lives in the communities where we operate in a meaningful and sustainable way in line with this year’s World AIDS Day commemoration, which falls on December 1, under the theme ‘Zambia’s future: Getting to zero new HIV-infections,” he said.
Speaking when the institution donated wheelchairs to UTH to commemorate World AIDS Day, Mr. Kachinda assured that NAPSA corporate social responsibility will ensure that the authority prudently and diligently administers a viable social security scheme.
Mr. Kachinda has since pledged that NAPSA will try to identify and support initiatives that have the potential to foster both economic and social development in the short and long term through appropriate empowerment initiatives.
