At the expense of his gratuity, Matero lawmaker, Mile Sampa has gotten a loan from Indo Zambia Bank amounting to a total sum of K150,000 which he has since dedicated to Matero youths.
Mr. Sampa, a past Commerce deputy minister who is also a staunch promoter, supporter and activist of youth empowerment in Zambia has embarked on a block making project in his constituency with a view to creating jobs for youths.
Through a Matero youth cooperative called "Ba Youth Tubombeko ", Mr Sampa said atleast 50 youths will be empowered.
Last year, in the same manner, Mr. Sampa donated K250, 000 his midterm gratuity towards helping jobless youths in his constituency.
He started a project that was meant to empower and help to build the capacity to reduce poverty among the young people in Matero.
Mr. Sampa used a K250,000 to create a company called “Metro Cabs” that was meant to offer taxis on hire purchase to youths in the area.
The beneficiaries of the taxis were in return required to make atleast K 600 weekly.
