When he was young and a 'nobody', Hon. Grayford Monde had an ambition of becoming a politician. Some people looked down and despised him.
He consulted not his background nor fears but his hopes and his dreams.
Mr. Monde did not think not about his frustrations and life challenges, but about his unfulfilled potential.
He therefore, concerned himself not with what he tried and failed in, but with what was possible for him to do.
Mr. Monde is the area member of parliament for Itezhi-tezhi constituency in the Southern Province and one of the youngest Member of parliament in the current National Assembly.
Born on 10th April, 1977, Greyford Monde is a married man with a business profession background.
His hobbies include football, praying
and promoting youths.
Believing in taking the first step in faith, Mr. Monde didn't see the whole staircase, he just took the first step, joined politics and later contested as Itezhi-Tezhi Member of parliament.
At the age of 34 in 2011, Mr. Monde was successfully elected as Itezhi-Tezhi Member of parliament under United Party for National Development (UPND) ticket.
