Copperbelt's rapper Kondwani Kaira popularly known as Chef 187 has warned music promoters against using his name without his consent.
He said promoters should refrain from using his name to promote their events if they haven't confirmed anything with hm or his management.
“I also ask that you refrain from running any adverts involving the Chef 187 brand unless natumfwana,” he said.
Kondwani said promoters should help the music industry grow by respecting each others brands.
“Let's not force each other into taking drastic measures just to protect our brands,” he said.
On Friday last week a team of named promoters organized an event at University of Zambia (UNZA) main hall and cheated that Chef and Mampi were among other artistes performing at the event.

Adverts indicated that Mampi, Chef and Ruff Kid would be performing at the event but only Ruff Kid showed up and disappeared after performing for less than an hour.
Meanwhile, UNZA opted to protest at the event upon learning that Mampi and Chef would not show.
Students ended up destroying properties including a state of the art R&G events stage and a Toyota Canter.
