The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) youths have called on Zambia police service to release their party Vice president.
In a protest today (Sunday), UPND youths matched to Lusaka Central Police to demand for the immediate release of their party Vice president for administration, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba.
Mr Mwamba popularly known as GBM was arrested last week by police in Lusaka and charged him for allegedly proposing violence.
In a statement made available to WM Media, police spokesperson Charity Chanda said Mr Mwamba was arrested
in connection with a statement he made on March 2, 2016 proposing to cause death to President Lungu that he would go for his throat.
And on Sunday when UPND youths
matched to Lusaka Central Police station police locked themselves in, to keep away unruly cadres.
Meanwhile, UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has thanked their Royal Highnesses Chief Mukuni of the Toka Leya speaking people of Southern
Province and Chief Mukonge of the Bemba speaking people from Northern Province for visiting at GBM at Lusaka Central Police.

Province and Chief Mukonge of the Bemba speaking people from Northern Province to our detained Vice president
Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba this morning at Lusaka Central Police,” says Mr Hichilema.
