Pupils in senior Chief Kalabamukosa’s area prefers fishing to school

Only six grade seven pupils at Musenga Primary School in senior Chief Kalabamukosa’s area in Samfya wrote their examinations last year as many of them opted to join their parents in the fish camps.

Samfya district education board secretary George Mwangula who confirmed this in an interview, said fishing has had a detrimental effect on school attendance.
