A Lusaka Dancehall turned Kalindula artist Brian Bwembya has scold Copperbelt
music hit maker Mark Mulaza Kaira alias 'Macky 2' saying he should tone down on the pride and the “kano nga ebo spirit”.
Bwembya populary known as 'B Flow' says Macky 2's opinion on Mosi Zambian Music Awards (ZMAs) is not the whole
music industry's opinion.
“Macky 2, listen up my guy. Your opinion is not the whole industry's opinion. Why are you catching emotions when others give opinions that are different from yours?? Yes we all want a better package but we are mindful of our approach. Take it easy brother, there's no need to start posting about every artist who thinks differently,” he says.
Macky 2, the self crowned King of Hip Hop launched a “ZMA Must Change, No More Exploitation” campaign which instantly sparked debate.
When launching a campaign, Macky 2 said it is shameful that local awards have remained nothing but just a publicity stunt for individuals and certain organizations.
And reacting to this campaign XYZ boss who also claims to be King of Hip Hop better known as Slap Dee real names Mwila Musonda said one can't make money off an award show.
“It's all for recognition and appreciation of hard work put in. Win or lose an award show motivates legendary, upcoming and
persistent artists,” Slap Dee said.
Meanwhile, B Flow has since urged Macky 2 to consider revising is approach towards Mosi ZMAs.
“You and I have won a ZMA before and we accepted then. That change we are looking for won't come by denouncing fellow artists on your page and on smooth talk. It will come by using dialogue, smart planning and right timing. Relax brother
relax. The battle is the Lord's not yours. What's yours is the victory, so think through your approach,” he explains.
