50 legume farmers in Mbala have been empowered with skills by World Vision Zambia (WVZ).
WVZ is a global Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children,
families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice - serving all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
Owing to the significance of diversification in the Agriculture sector, the 50 legume farmers in Mbala were trained in effective bean production.
To lessen the dependence on maize production in the country, during training farmers were urged to start producing quality beans for the market.
And Zambia National Farmers’ Union (ZNFU) says following that the bean production training was done in conjunction with World Vision funds, loans will be provided to farmers so as to enable them boost their farming capacity and realize meaningful income.
