Mulungushi University Vice
Chancellor Hellicy Ng’ambi confirms that some students have been blocked to write
their final exams.
Mulungushi University officials blocked the students from writing
examinations because they had failed to pay tuition fees and they also owed the
institution various sums of money in fee arrears.
And Prof. Ng’ambi said affected
students were blocked from writing exams because they defaulted despite having pledged
to pay before the examinations and signed agreements.
This is a case in which 50
Mulungushi University students have been blocked from writing their semester
final exams.
Prof Ng’ambi however, said
Mulungushi University does not pride in blocking students from writing exams.
“This is not meant to
punish students, but we want to get what is due to the institution as well,”
she said.
