Musika Zambia has disassociated itself from the announcement by Zambia Outgrower Cooperative Society Limited calling for
participants to pay for a training workshop in Lusaka.
Musika Head of Corporate Affairs, Pamela Hamasaka says Musika does not provide training for farmers and neither does it charge any fees for its services.
Ms Hamasaka explains that Musika is a Zambian non-profit company with a mandate to stimulate and support private investment in the Zambian agricultural markets with a specific focus on the lower end of these markets.
She indicates that Musika's primary clients are the agribusinesses in the agricultural sector with whom it signs Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to undertake specific interventions targeted at the smallholder sector.
Ms Hamasaka reiterates that at no point has Musika collaborated or signed an MoU with Zambia Outgrower Cooperative Society Limited.
Ms Hamasaka has since said Musika shall not be held liable for any loss incurred by members of the public as a result of ZAMGROW'S activities.
