Monze and Gwembe Districts are facing challenges in
implementing inclusive learning since its pronouncement in
2000.
Monze-Gwembe Education Officer for Special Education
Clifford Haluuma says the two districts have not fully
integrated inclusive due to lack of knowledge among other
things.
Mr. Haluuma
admitted that there are few schools offering inclusive
education which makes it difficult for pupils living with
disabilities to access education.
He adds that even those schools that are available for the
inclusive
learning program among the few schools lack proper infrastructure to suit pupils living
with various disabilities.
And Rusangu Secondary School Head Teacher Abel Palaza
says the school has integrated the program but is still faced
challenges in Information and Communications Technology.
