A graduation ceremony for a business plan competition better known as 'Nyamuka Zambia' that is tasked with finding a new generation of business heroes and helping them put into place a game plan to grow their enterprises and tap into new markets that the Zambian economy needs took place on Friday at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka and 60 semi-finalists graduated.
The grand finale will only comprise of 20 fnalists that will be selected from the 60 semi-finalists.
The winner of grand prize worth K250,000 will be selected from the 20 finalists and the winner of the second place will receive a prize of K200,000; the winner of the third place will receive a prize of K175,000; the winner of the fourth place will receive a prize of K150, 000; the winner of the fifth place will receive a prize of K125,000 and the remaining 14 finalists received K75,000.
Barclays Zambia Business Banking Director, Regina Mulenga and Private Enterprise Program (PEP) Zambia Team Leader, Mr. James Blewett gave speeches to congratulate & motivate the shortlisted candidates.
Mrs. Mulenga said, “You are all contributing to the economic diversification of Zambia and a bankable business plan is the first step in your journey to entrepreneurial success.

The semi-finalists will now work further on their 'Game Plans' with the assistance of their mentors ready for the next stage.

Nyamuka Zambia also provides all competitors with invaluable support and expertise through business planning workshops, coaching and mentoring sessions, and many opportunities to network and connect with the wider world of business – so everyone is a winner, with the best talents being substantially rewarded for their innovative business ideas and plans.
The business plan competition is part of the five-year Private Enterprise Programme – Zambia (PEP-Z), funded by the UK government’s Department for International Development (DFID) that aims to stimulate the private
sector through robust interventions targeted at transformative Zambian entrepreneurs and enterprises.
This year 600 applicants entered for the competition.
