Luanshya Mayor, Nathan Chanda says the launch of the Seventh National Development Plan (7NDP) will surely improve the well being of the youths who are looking for employment adding that people's needs will be met.
He said Copperbelt youths are happy with the launch of the 7DNP which will open doors for them.
“We would also want to thank the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu for rolling out projects that will give the youths employment and empowerment opportunities,” Mr Chanda said in a statement made available to WestMac Media.
Mr Chanda who is also Copperbelt Patriotic Front (PF) youth Chairman said the coming of the President to the Copperbelt to launch the C400 road projects and the ground breaking for the Copperbelt International Airport will give youths direct and indirect jobs.
“This airport will certainly create the jobs that we want us youths and improve our wellbeing . The benefits of the airport will be felt not only by the Copperbelt but the entire Southern region. it will unlock the economy of the region and in turn benefit our youths and the people of Zambia.
That is why as youths we will support President Edgar Lungu in all development projects especially infrastructure which is
giving us jobs the needed Jobs.
He added that roads construction will also attract jobs for the youth.
“As Youths from all the distracts on the Copperbelt we resolved and want to reiterate our support and loyalty to President Lungu and the PF party which is implementing these projects,” Mr Chanda said.
Mr Chanda also pointed that youths in the PF want to extend a call to the opposition youths and the general public to support President Lungu and his government.
“We need to coexist and remember that politics are over. What we have now is to work for the common goal of developing our nation and creating jobs for our youths. We need to create a better Zambia as youths. My appeal is for all the youths regardless of political affiliation to turn up and support President Lungu as he launches these two important projects on the Copperbelt,” he said.
