A business plan competition dubbed
Nyamuka Zambia that is transforming Zambia’s entrepreneurial landscape by inspiring ambitious businessmen and women to raise their game and take their ideas to the next level – creating
employment and driving the economy forward in the process is set to announce
2016, 60 semifinalist on Monday 6th June.
According to a statement made available to WM Media, this year Nyamuka Zambia saw a significant uplift in the number of women applying for the Nyamuka Zambia business plan competition.
“In 2016, 69.8% males applied and only 30.2% females applied. Whereas in 2015, 75.5% male applied and only 24.5% female.”
The independent and impartial business experts reviewed this year's Nyamuka Zambia business plan competition submissions and 60 semi-finalists have been shortlisted to proceed to the next stage of the competition.
And Nyamuka Zambia has since stated that all shortlisted semi-finalists must attend the next stages to continue to qualify.
“As per the 'Terms & Conditions' of the competition, which applicants signed up to when applying, 10th June has been set to be a graduation ceremony for 60 semi-finalists and 20th July as the date for Nyamuka Zambia National Business Conference.”
Meanwhile, the In-charge Manager, Shalin Jethi says Nyamuka Zambia reserves the right to change the dates.
“We reserve the right to change the above dates but we will inform you well in advance. We also apologize to all of you
outside Lusaka that we are unable to hold our key events outside Lusaka for logistical and budgetary reasons,” he says.
