National Albinism Networking Association of Zambia President Dickson Konkola has urged political parties taking part in this year’s general election to consider fielding
people living with albinism in various elective positions.
Mr. Konkola says Albinos have also applied to be adopted at various electoral levels and they should not be
discriminated against in the process.
He says political parties should be transparent in their adoption process citing that anyone who qualifies despite their color or age should be taken on board.
Mr. Konkola says Albinos can equally contribute to the development of the nation if they are given an opportunity to do so thus they should not be left out.
He further states that their members are willing to be part of the national development agenda as long as they are given a chance to do so.
