ActionAid Zambia invites youth-led organizations to apply for grants under the Queens Young Leaders Firestarter
Initiative.
“This is Our Moment-Youth Changing Zambia,” project aims to support, connect and develop the capacity of youth organizations in Zambia through a reactive
and open small grants scheme.
Who can apply?
• Application for funding is open to organizations, movements, initiatives or clubs that are youth-led, legally
registered, reaching at least 50 young people through their work and have members aged between 15 and 35 years old.
What kind of projects can be funded?
• The submitted projects should propose innovative,
technological and feasible action for development, by and
for youth, tackling youth-related issues and aimed at
improving youth representation in decision making in
platforms on issues that affect their lives.
The grants are focused on projects that include any of the following themes:-
• Social inclusion;
• Civic Engagement and Participation;
• Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation;
• Democracy;
• Strengthening of Youth Voices;
• Skills development;
• Sexual Reproductive Health Rights.
How to apply?
Send your proposal application to info.zambia@actionaid.org, or drop off your hard copies at 38G Kabulonga
Road, Ibex Hill or at any of our Regional offices (Kasama,
Mongu & Kitwe). The deadline for submission of applications
is not later than Friday, 11th June 2018.
Project proposals
submitted after the specified date will not be considered.
