Organized by the Embassy of Sweden in Lusaka, in
partnership with UNDP, EU and Zambia’s Ministry of Lands
and Natural Resources, a Climate Dialogue Forum will take
place 7-8 June 2018.
Sweden’s Ambassador for Climate
Change, Lars RonnĂ¥s, will participate in the dialogue and
Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) will facilitate the
discussions.
Based on the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, signed by
both Zambia and Sweden and 193 other countries around
the world, we look forward to discussing how we can create
synergies and mobilize the willingness to invest in order to
battle the challenges we all face looking at climate change
and its impact on our world.
Climate change is expected to
have severe influence on climate-sensitive sectors such as
water, energy, agriculture and health, which are crucial to
Zambia’s development.
The first day of the event will take place at the Government
Complex and for the second and final day we will be at
UNZA.
The event is not open to the general public.
However, If you
are interested in attending, please send an e-mail to ambassaden.lusaka@gov.se including a motivation on why
you would like to participate.
