The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has commended Youth leaders from various political parties for setting the tone on issues agreed upon during Tuesday’s interparty meeting organized by the church.
YALI Governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza says youth leaders from various political parties have been meeting under the
auspices of YALI were they have been issuing joint communiqués whose contents were adopted by 18 political party leaders which include the need to use party structures to end political violence.
Mr. Mwanza says YALI is excited that the political leaders are in agreement with the youth leaders who have been meeting
in various districts on the need for fair enforcement of the Public Order Act, the need for fair, equal and balanced coverage by the public media and banning the use of
military regalia.
He says it is now hoped that the Zambia Police and the public media will move towards the speedy implementation
of the resolutions of the interparty meeting. Credit: Q FM
