Opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema has called on government to protect the remaining jobs for Zambians
in the Country.
Mr. Hichilema is urging government to do so especially in the wake of some companies shutting down their businesses
owing to the continued electricity load shedding in the Country.
Speaking when he toured selected milling companies in Lusaka, Mr. Hichilema observed that due load shedding
companies are failing to sustain their businesses and thereby laying off workers.
Mr. Hichilema has advised that given this situation there is need for dialogue between the government and employers if
jobs are to be protected amidst such a power crisis.
He believes that the continued job losses in the Country are an indication that President Lungu and the PF government
have failed to dialogue with employers.
