Election period should not be a time of horror and tyranny rather it should be a time to reflect on the needs of the country
and the society. Our ideals should inspire all of us both candidates and electorates to protect our sovereign state and
its people.
This is the time that we the youths should reject politics of
anything goes and accept to live in a country where divergent
views strengthen us to achieve a common goal. Lessons have
been learnt and history in its richness reveals to us that a
house divided by itself cannot stand. This nation is our only
home whether UPND or PF, we should learn to live together.
The problems of tomorrow cannot be solved by killing one
another or by castigating$ each other. I bemoan the Extent to
which politics in our country has reached.
The prevalent election deaths in East Africa must shame us all.
The lesson from the Rwanda Genocide must direct us toward
mutual agreement. The Lumpa massacre must teach us to
recognize and live in a country with divergent views. The
Kavalamanja bombing must unify our bond of affection .The
chilombo, kawambwa and billgrimme incidences must enrich
us to be brother’s keeper. The Mongu killing must yield a sense
that we are one. The death of Maina soko must streng$$th us to
fight against social injustice, poverty and corruption.
Let’s Say NO to political violence because the Aluta Continues.
