The Sixth Republican President of Zambia, His Excellency Edgar Lungu has appointed Inonge Wina the Patriotic Front Party National Chairperson and Chiefs and Traditions Minister in the just recent dissolved Cabinet of the Patriotic Front government as the new Republican Vice President.
Mrs Wina becomes the first female to be appointed as Republican Vice President of Zambia.
President Lungu on Monday unveiled part of his lead Cabinet which comprised of UPND Central Solwezi Member of Parliament Dawson Kafwaya.
Kafwaya has been appointed as new Provincial Minister-North Western .
Among other cabinet officials who have been reappointed and newly appointed include Alexander Bwalya Chikwanda, MP who has continued as Minister of Ministers, Harry Kalaba, MP has continued Jean Kapata, MP has continued as Minister of Tourism and Arts, Dr Joseph Kasonde MP has continued as Minister of Health, Davies Mwila, MP as become new Home Affairs Minister, Dr Ngosa Simbyakula, MP has become new Minister of Justice, Emmanuel Chilubanama as Permanent Secretary-Statehouse, Amos Chanda as become new Special Assistant to the President-Press and Public Relations, Kaiza Zulu as new Special Assistant to the President-Political Affairs and Nathaniel Mubukwanu who has been moved from North Western province to Southern Province replacing Daniel Munkombwe.
President Lungu has since warned that he does not expect any of his Cabinet Members to emulate the behavior of Mr Munkombwe who has since been dropped.
