Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist - Children in Need Network, CHIN

The Children in Need Network (CHIN) seeks a suitably qualified Zambian to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (M&ES) to hold responsibility for all monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities for a potential new program to support orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in Luapula Province, based in Mansa. 

Responsibilities  

• Lead the development and manages the performance monitoring plan (PMP). 

• Develop and maintain systems to collect and analyse information on program inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impact. 

• Conduct supportive supervisory visits to sub grantees to observe, monitor, guide, and provide feedback on the use of data and indicators. 

• Analyse monthly data. 

• Support training of M&E personnel in quality assurance methods. 

• Support the timely implementation of evaluation activities 

Qualifications and experience 

• A degree in social sciences, evaluation, or a related field. 

• At least three years’ experience in the M&E of HIV care and support projects. Optimally, professional experience will include work m programs involving OVC. 

• Experience designing and implementing M&E systems in Zambia’s HIV and AIDS and care and support sector. 

• Demonstrated knowledge of management information systems. 

• Fluency in Bemba a plus.
