President Lungu's daughter Tasila Lungu in the company of others have donated 200 pairs of brand new shoes to vulnerable school children under the 'ubulayo shoe distribution programme' in Masaiti district.
Tasila who is also Nkoloma ward Councilor in Lusaka's Chawama constituency said she was truly honoured to pay a courtesy call on Senior Chief Chiwala at his palace.
She added that His Royal Highness was kind enough to share with her the many developmental initiatives being undertaken under his able leadership in his chiefdom.
“These included a number of industrial and manufacturing projects. I received a brief history of the area, including a personal story from His Royal Highness that he served as a decorated employee for 21 years at the Ndola Lime Company Ltd,” Tasila said.
Tasila further said she was also pleased to hear about the commendable strides made for the community by various investors operating in the chiefdom specifically in improving housing and schools that are transforming people's lives.
The President's daughter has also disclosed that she learnt so much from the wonderful visit to Masaiti and she is looking forward to returning very soon.
