'Be One Percent' is supporting a Village Waters menstrual hygiene programme.
Be One Percent is a small charity based in Liverpool having a life-changing effect on people all over the world.
The charity believes that no girl should miss school because of her period.
“With your support we can help more girls access reusable sanitary towels and breakdown the taboos associated with periods in Zambia”.
By estimations, next month Be One Percent through your donations will educate over 5,000 Zambian school children on menstrual hygiene and provide sanitary protection helping more than 2,500 girls stay in school after puberty. You can increase this number by joining them at the 'football fundraising tournament'.
To celebrate the impact of your donations Be One Percent is hosting the first ever five-a-side tournament on the 16th September.
In the past seven years this charity has given 1% of their income to help the world's
poorest communities; supplying 2 million school meals, 1,193 microloans, 77,000 health treatments, malaria nets to protect 37,000 people and clean water for 13,650.
All ticket proceeds will go towards more life saving and changing projects in some of the
world's poorest communities.
