The British Council has announced collaboration opportunity for digital artists and storytellers, to participate in ColabNowNow 2018. Dubbed “The Future of the Future”, ColabNowNow is held in partnership with Maputo Fast Forward (MFF).
MFF is a digital ‘society and culture’ publication from Mozambique which hosts an annual festival. Now in its third year, the 2018 edition will be the second installment
of the ColabNowNow initiative.
The #Colabnownow is looking for artists,
programmers, Architects and storytellers,
who are creating their art on digital! We
invite young digital storytellers and artists
working on digital, from Southern Africa,
Africa guides, West Africa and the United
Kingdom, to participate in this initiative.
This collaborative platform will prioritize
the creation of innovative digital work,
which will then be displayed during the
Maputo Fast Forward Festival.
A digital artist/storyteller is one making use of technology and software to create and render artwork in a digital format. In the context of this initiative, Digital Artists include but are not limited to: visual/graphic artists, architects, technical
artists, programmers/coders, music/sound
artists, performers and animators.
Digital Storytellers include but are not
limited to: writers, photographers,
filmmakers, videographers, bloggers and
vloggers.
The ColabNowNow initiative will be held from the 20th –28th October 2018 in Maputo, Mozambique.
Selected
artists/storytellers will create individual/collaborative
digital projects which will be showcased at the Maputo Fast
Forward Festival.
