Provincial Education Officer in Southern region Florence Chikalekale has advised girls to desist from having sex at a tender age as it may lead to early pregnancies which can hinder girls’ achievement in life.
She said girls should instead explore a number of career prospects that can help them realize their potential.
Speaking during Career Club exhibition at Monze Community Development College organized by Restless Development Organization, Mrs Chikalekale observed that most of girls focus on more teaching and nursing careers which should not be the case.
And speaking at the same event Restless Development
Organization Programmes Coordinator Chibuye Changwe

of Southern Province helping them with career prospects.

government in sensitizing girls to undertake various careers
through inviting experts to talk to girls during camps.
And speaking on behalf of the girls’ beneficiary Idah
Nalumbwe from Niko Girls Technical Secondary applauded
the organization for according young girls with an
opportunity to explore other careers.
