Apply for Maypole Fund Grants for Women

Deadline: 31 January 2015 

Grants from the Maypole Fund are given every year to 10 or 12 applicants. A grant of £750 is given by Maypole Fund. Maypole has financially helped women to set up and take part in conferences, workshops and other events. 

Guidelines 

Applications are welcome from women for projects and activities that meet the following aims of The Maypole Fund: 

-Peace initiatives, disarmament and action against the arms trade. 

-Anti-militarism and action against male violence. 

-Nuclear issues. Environmental issues. 

-The promotion of women’s social and political autonomy throughout the world. 

-International, national and/or regional networking between women for the above purposes. 

Eligibility Criteria 

-Precedence to projects by individual women or women’s groups over women’s initiatives within mixed groups of women and men. 

-Preference to specific one-off projects and projects not yet started to projects already started or completed. 

-Applications are welcome from women who do not have access to other sources of money or whose projects find it difficult to attract funding elsewhere. 

How to apply? 

The application form should include the following details: 

-Description of the activity the candidate would like the Maypole Fund to support. 

-Inclusion of bank details and mail address. 

-Clearly state how the candidate’s activity fits in with Maypole’s AIMS. 

-Budget and cost breakdown. 

-Give a breakdown of the costs.
