of Lusaka? The school is offering merit-based scholarships to qualified
students with significant financial needs in order to prepare them for future
leadership positions within Zambia.
The American International School (AISL) Merit-Based Scholarship
Program is designed to provide highly capable and motivated Zambian
students, who have significant financial need, with an opportunity to
attend AISL for 3 years (Gr. 10-12) and earn an American High School
Diploma and the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma. AISL
scholarship students will be expected perform at a very high level
academically and to participate in a robust extra-curricular program. AISL
will provide scholarship students with support in the form of a pastoral
care/mentorship program and college/university admissions guidance and
support for universities overseas and in Zambia.
The overall aim of the AISL Scholarship Program is as follows:
1. To extend the opportunity for an international education to highly
capable and motivated Zambian students who have significant
financial needs.
2. To develop and prepare exceptional Zambian students for future
leadership positions within Zambia.
AISL will grant up to six full scholarships in Grades 10-12 over a three-
year cycle.
The AISL Scholarship Committee will implement a
transparent application and selection process based on clearly stated
admissions criteria.
AISL will provide scholarship students with the following benefits: full
tuition, lunch, a home Internet provision, one optional school trip per year
(sport, MUN, etc.), a pastoral care/mentorship program, SAT/ACT fees,
college/university application fees, and admissions guidance for colleges/
universities overseas and in Zambia. Scholarship students and their
families, in turn, will be obligated to meet the terms and conditions of the
scholarship as defined in the AISL Student Scholarship Program
Guidelines and Agreement.
