Education Minister John Phiri has announced the
results in a ministerial statement in Parliament, says grade seven results are out and
all schools will start issuing out results on Friday.
Dr Phiri says out of a total of 332,953
candidates
who sat for the 2014 examinations 299,710 pupils have been accepted to Grade eight.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has
completed recruiting and deploying 1024 teachers.
Permanent Secretary Chimba Nkosha says of the selected
number, 555 are male while 469
are female candidates.
Mr. Nkosha says all selected candidates must
report to their respective District Education Board Secretaries by second
December 2014.
He says in a statement to ZNBC that a ten day
grace period has been given to all applicants to report for work.
Mr. Nkosha says the deadline for reporting will
be 15th December adding that all candidates who fail to report after the grace period
will be replaced by those on the waiting reserve list.
He has advised the new recruits that all places
are not transferable.
