Wynter Kabimba has launched his new political party called Rainbow Party. He announced his party on 16th December, 2014 at a press briefing held at Mulungushi International Conference.
Kabimba is also Former Justice Minister and PF Secretary General in President Michael Sata's administration.
He said he has decided to form a new party because the existing political parties do not have a direction.
“To reform the country's leadership and direction is not an easy undertaking
yet it can be done only by those who dare to boldly confront the problems
and evils of society on behalf of the people. We are better equipped with a
firm ideological foundation to rescue, reform, and transform the country.

Attending the briefing were Fr. Luonde, Former Lusaka Mayor Robert Chikwelete and PF Lusaka District Chairman Geoffrey Chuumbwe.
He has since said Rainbow Party will not take part in the 2015 presidential by elections but come 2016 his party will form government.
