APPLY: 37 Chinese And 100 Russian Scholarships

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE, VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND EARLY EDUCATION 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Zambian nationals that meet the minimum requirements outlined here below to contest for One Hundred (100) scholarships under the Russian Government Scholarship Scheme for the 2015/2016 Academic Year. Available fields are: 

BACHELORS DEGREE 
02.03.01 Mathematics and Computer Sciences, 02.03.03 Software and Administration of Information systems, 05.03.01 Geology, 05.03.04 Hydrometeorology, 05.03.06 Ecology and Management of Natural Resources, 07.03.01 Architecture, 09.03.04 Software Engineering, 15.03.01 Mechanical Engineering, 20.03.02 Environmental Engineering and Water protection, 22.03.02 Metallurgy, 35.03.04 Agronomy, 35.03.06 Agro-Engineering, 38.03.01 Economics, 38.03.04 State and Municipal Management, 41.03.04 Political Science, 46.03.02 Document Studies and Archives, 03.03.03 Radio physics, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, 30.05.02 Medical Biophysics 


SPECIALITY DEGREE

ELIGIBILITY 
Applicants should: 
-Be Zambian citizens with Green National Registration Cards (NRC) 
-Be School Leavers who completed Grade 12 in and later than 2012 (for undergraduate) 
-Have Grades 1-4 in English, Mathematics and subjects relevant to the intended course of study 
-Be a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree obtained in and before 2012 (for Masters) 
-Have done their first degree from the Russian Federation (for Masters) 
-Be of maximum age of 24 years for undergraduates and 34 years for masters by September 2015 

CONDITIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP 
-Candidates should meet own cost towards: 
(i) Expenses to and from the Airport; 
(ii) Any short fall not adequately covered by the scholarship. 

This is dependent on the programme to be pursued, however, all include 1 year of Russian language (5 to 7 years) for undergraduates and masters 3 years. 

METHOD OF APPLICATION 
Applicants should submit: 
-An application letter responding to the advert, clearly stating the field of study desired, age, day-time telephone number and e-mail address for easy communication; 
-Curriculum Vitae, Certified Photocopies of Educational 
-Certificates, Transcript/Statement of results, NRC, eight (8) colour passport size photos and colour photo copy of pages 2 and 3 of the passport; 
-A study plan or synopsis of summarized details of the preferred course and how the intended course of study will enhance one’s contribution to Zambia’s development (200 words on one face of an A4 page for undergraduates and 400 words for Masters. 

 It is a requirement by the host country that all nominated candidates undergo comprehensive medical examinations including the HIV test. 

Nominated candidates must note that last-minute withdrawals will attract serious sanctions from the Committee which may include being blacklisted.

Available are: Twenty two (22) undergraduates, Ten (10) Masters and Five (05) PhD Scholarships in any relevant field; 

ELIGIBILITY 
Applicants should: 
-Be Zambian citizens with Green National Registration Cards (NRC) 
-Be School Leavers who completed Grade 12 in and later than 2012 
-Have Grades 1-4 in English, Mathematics and subjects relevant to the intended course of study 
-Hold a first degree (Masters) and a relevant Masters degree (PhD) obtained in and before 2012 
-Be maximum age 24 years (undergraduates), 34 years (Masters) and 39 years (PhD) by September 2015 

CONDITIONS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP 
Candidates should meet own cost towards:

(ii) Any short fall not adequately covered by the scholarship. This is dependent on the programme to be pursued, however, all include 1 year of Chinese language (5 to 7 years for Undergraduates; 2 to 3 years for Masters and PhD)

-Curriculum Vitae, Certified Photocopies of Educational

-Two Letters of Recommendation issued by their previous schools (for undergraduate) 
-A study plan or synopsis of summarized details of the preferred course and how the intended course of study will enhance one’s contribution to Zambia’s development (200 words for undergraduate and 400 words for Masters and PhD applicants) on one face of an A4 page 
-Employers' Recommendation letters stating that they would be granted leave to take up offers if selected (for Masters and PhD). It is a requirement by the host country that all nominated candidates undergo comprehensive medical examinations including the HIV test.
