Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Christopher Yaluma says government will soon invoke a statutory instrument that will bar foreign nationals from trading in small scale businesses such as chicken rearing and block making.
Speaking at a breakfast meeting on facilitating Trade and Investment for Development in Lusaka at the on-going
World Export Development Forum, Mr Yaluma said the participation of foreign investors in small scale businesses has adversely affected the performance of the local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector.
The Minister says by so doing, Local Entrepreneurs will have a wider space of doing business in the country.
