Bank of Zambia (BoZ) Deputy Governor for Administration, Dr Tukiya Mabula Kankasa says women in Zambia should take up the challenge in development and economic emancipation in order to protect themselves from man dependence syndrome.
Dr Mabula who is also Gender Advocate further says women need to change their mindset and become participants in all sectors of development.
She said this as a guest of honour at the KUPES Young Womens Network conference themed "Are you a game changer?" held at Mulungushi International Conference in
Lusaka.
Speaking at the same event, Barclays Bank Managing Director Mizinga Melu advised women to be transformational leaders and become game changers.
Ms. Melu said women need to have a vision for every economic and development opportunity they want to pursue in life.
Meanwhile, KUPES Young Womens Network founder Norena Chitebe called on all women and girls to unite and embrace a culture of working together for a common goal.
