Watermelon is among the easiest crops to run with. There's no proper recommended land for it but most surely it needs to be a fertile land. 

The following are things you must know and steps you must follow:-

1. You need to till your land more evenly. 

2. Make sure its clean. 

3. For quick results plant your seeds together with D compund fertilizer. 

4. Watermelons are runners (they craw like pumpkins) so you need to be mindful of the spaces from one hole to the other. 

5. Two to three seeds in a hole is recommended. 

Watermelons don't require a lot of water instead require intensive chemical treatment. Some chemicals used include insecticides. 

6. When applying chemicals remove your weeds just like you do in other crops. 

7. You apply fertilizer just like you do other crops. 

Be mindful that these crops stay for a good 3 to 4months in the field before they are ready. 

8. Always strive to keep the leaves look greeny its a sign of healthy crops.
