Minister of Higher Education, Nkandu Luo has challenged
graduating students to be enterprising after obtaining their
qualifications.
Prof Luo said this yesterday when she graced the graduation
ceremony for St. Mawagali Trades Training Institute in
Choma.
The Minister challenged the successful graduates to ensure
that they use their skills to develop themselves as opposed
to waiting upon employment opportunities from
government.
Prof Luo also mentioned that Government is considering to
reduce the duration students spend to obtain a Diploma.
She noticed that it is unfair for students to spend three years
to obtain a Diploma in Zambia.
Prof Luo further pointed that Zambia’s education standards
should agree with international standards.
