On the 16th of July, 2022, Genius Education Zambia in partnership with ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ (๐๐๐๐), Information and Communications University and various institutions hosted the ๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ under the theme โ๐จ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ ๐๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐๐ต ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ผ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐."
The Genius Science Fair is an annual exhibition of ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ต๐ป๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ด๐, ๐๐ป๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ (๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ ) innovations, projects and solutions by high school learners and high school leavers.
The Fair is a two-part event involving the project exhibition and STEM writing contest. It was based on the following categories; Engineering and Electronics, Computer Science and Mathematics, Robotics and Intelligent Design, Medicine and Health, Astronomy and Physics, STEM teacher of the year and Agricultural-science and Climate Change.
At least eleven schools in Lusaka participated in the fair. It did not only attract schools in Lusaka but a hundred of learners around the country.
3 winners were selected in each category and received prizes from partner organizations such as tablets, research opportunities and monetary prizes.
During the Fair, ZRDC representative and Information and Communications University Lecturer ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ challenged the young people that were present to ask questions.
โYoung people should have the ability to ask questions as it might help them to come up with theses and discoveriesโ, he said.
