In compliance with the millenium development goals to end poverty, achieve universal education and promote gender
equality, Voice of the African Child see to it that impoverished children from the slums in Kenya will be given an education,
technical training, school materials, food and medical care.
With dire poverty in the Mukuru kwa njenga slums, few people/families can educate and provide the basic needs of
their children leading to more children with no future .
This project provides support, promotes and secure children's
rights to education, food, health and general well being.
Voice of the African Child is seen in Mukuru kwa njenga slums empowering participation processes, leadership training and community outreach so that children may not end up on the streets dead or forced into prostitution or indeed impregnated.
Business development and skills are given to women to empower themselves.
