Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) party has charged that poor Zambians have been subjected to absolute poverty through taxes.
Party President Edwin Sakala says there is need for proper tax implementation in the country.
He further says Zambians have been subjected to too many taxes despite welcoming the tax on borehole drilling.
Mr Sakala has since advised government to find a way in which only rich people should pay Tax as the poor are becoming poorer because they share the little money they get with government.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Water Development, Sanitation and Environmental Protection launched Statutory Instruments that will ensure the regulation of drilling and adherence to
laid down standards pertaining to utilization of water sources.
