The Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA) on 9th March, 2018 launched Regulations on Groundwater,
Boreholes and Licensing of Drillers in Zambia.
Abstraction of groundwater in Zambia has continued to be an area of concern.
Government recognizes the need to
achieve maximum benefits through efficient and effective utilization of water resources.
These Regulations will among other things, regulate the drilling of boreholes and promote adherence to laid down standards for utilization of water
