Submissions are invited from any Zambian resident to nominate any individual or any group of adolescents aged 10-19 who are working to support fellow adolescents to * reduce teenage pregnancy, * keep girls in safe schools, *fight gender based violence, * increase age appropriate sexuality knowledge and education, * access modern contraception, * increase health access in conditions of poverty, or * any other achievement in the context of sexual and reproductive health and rights.
What will the awards recognize as excellence?
1. Are there visible and measurable results from this work that have improved adolescent health?
2. Has the work been sustained for some time?
3.Has the work built collaboration between adolescents and adults?
4.Has the work built collaboration between adolescents and health service providers?
Awards
- A winning award of USD500.00 for the leading adolescent
- Three runner up awards for adolescents in the sum of USD200.00 each
- A winning award for the best adolescent group. The winning group will receive a grant of USD1,000.00 for further work as well as small awards for individual group members
The awards will be presented at a special ceremony to be held in Lusaka on 25 September 2015 and a senior Government official will be Guest of Honour.
Rules for Nominations
1.Any resident in Zambia aged 10-19 is eligible to be nominated
2.Any group made up of adolescents and working in the above areas for more than a year may be nominated
3.The nominated adolescent or group must have a track record of public activism lasting at least one year in one of
the above areas that can be publically verified
4.Nominations must be submitted as per the nomination details below.

1.Full name and age of person making the nomination
2.Contact details of person nominating including mobile phone, if possible
3.Full name of the adolescent activist or adolescent group being nominated
4.Address of the adolescent activist or adolescent group being nominated
5.Explain in less than 300 words why you think this nominee deserves an award. (Use the criteria in the section, what
will the awards recognise as excellence above to motivate).
6.You may add photographs of any of the work you are motivating, but this is not compulsory
