Its 'A Shame' For Graduates To Beg For Jobs Says Stella Sata

Stella Sata, daughter to the late Republican President Mr Michael Chilufya Sata has urged graduates to consider creating jobs for themselves.
“If you can not get a job, attempt to create a job for yourself.” She says.

She says its a shame for graduates to beg for jobs.
“Don't get utuma cardboard and write Graduate in Acute Poverty on them. Abanenu balaya ba shitisha ko tomato. It is a shame that graduates want to sit and beg for jobs while their uneducated counterparts run the informal sector and get things done. Umusebanya weka weka.” Says Stella.

Stella says to win the respect of outsiders one must work with their hands.
“Even in the good book bali lemba ati Learn to Work with your own hands so that you may win the respect of outsiders!”She says.

She has since urged young people to refuse to become the tools of propaganda, because already much has to be done!

Meanwhile reacting to Ex-UNZA students protest UPND Vice President, Dr Canisius Banda says democracy cannot thrive without freedom.
“One of the things that people in a democracy ought to do without hindrance is protest. This they must do in peace and without violence. And this is exactly what a number of unemployed graduates of the University of Zambia [UNZA], suffering poverty and affronted by it, did. Now just as predictable as the silly and infantile tyrants that they are, the PF decided to arrest them instead of respecting their freedom of speech, association, assembly and expression by listening to them. As if they were bandits guilty of aggravated robbery or such a heinous crime, these graduates are currently in police cells.” He says.

Dr Banda says by this very act [ipso facto], you can clearly see that not only are they enemies of democracy but the PF have got their priorities upside down.
“This behaviour of the graduates' ought to be encouraged amongst the citizens. This is what will grow and mature our democracy, and it is this behaviour that is the seed conduct for national unity and peace. It is when such freedoms of citizens are infringed upon that nations fall apart.”He says.

Dr Banda says “Only last week, we were informed through parliament by the Ministry of Home Affairs that recently Zambia issued about 30,000 employment permits to foreigners [19000 Chinese, 7000 Indians and 4000 South Africans].” This means that foreigners are able to find employment in this country.”

He adds “It would really be interesting to see just what jobs these are if a thorough audit were to be done. Now if Zambia is able to employ all these foreigners, how come it is failing to employ its citizens? And what really is the point of educating them, if not to use [employ] them? That a government can arrest its educated citizens for merely and peacefully reminding it to facilitate/create employment for them and other citizens is one of the worst scandals of political governance anywhere in the world.”

Dr Banda says Zambia has the potential to create millions of jobs, enough to employ all deserving citizens and all qualifying foreigners [beyond the cited 30000]. This is where the PF's focus must be. .
