Gloria, 27 from india, when she and her friends visited a children’s centre in Kerala, India,
they were moved by the children’s pleas for books instead of toys.
It was shocking to see what little skills and tools were being provided to
children who had no other opportunities for education.
Gloria and her team banded together to set up a library and hold English
classes at that very centre. Then their social passion grew to form the
social enterprise Make A Difference [MAD], of which she is now
managing director.
The project is dedicated to providing quality education to orphans and
other underprivileged children through a network of 900 youth volunteers.
It also runs mentoring programmes, career placement programmes as well
as education and innovation projects across India.
Thanks to Gloria and the passion of their team, their dream of a world
where all children have equal opportunities is becoming a reality.
