World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) aims at improving humanitarian action and to review modalities of work for humanitarian actors in order to meet the needs of the millions of people affected
by conflicts or disasters.
The process involves civil society and is managed by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). It will culminate in the global summit in May 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.
The Global Youth Consultation will shape the Global Youth Position for the World Humanitarian Summit.
On September 1-2, 2015, the Global Youth
Consultation for the World Humanitarian Summit (WHS) will take place in Doha, Qatar. The big event is hosted by the organization Reach Out To Asia (ROTA)
and organized by the WHS Youth Working Group, the International Federation of the Red Cross, with support of, amongst others, the WHS Secretariat.
We highly encourage all applicants to demonstrate their participation in the process, by engaging in the Online Consultation and organizing their own open- ended consultations, it's easy and super interesting!
The participants will be selected by a specially convened WHS Youth Working Group Selection Committee. Only selected participants will be notified.
The application process will be closed on July 1st, 2015 at 23:59 GMT.
