A renowned Economist, Lubinda Haabazoka has urged Zambians to ignore politics and concentrate on making money for themselves and their families.
Dr Haabazoka says money one can account for and hard earned is the sweetest.

“My advice is that you all start saving so that January bills don’t harass
you. Shop for your kids in September and move things like car insurance, road tax to April. You need to balance your expenses,” says Dr Haabazoka.
Dr Haabazoka who is also a Lecturer at the Copperbelt University adds that for those that are not working but have degrees and other qualifications, Zambia is not the only job market.
“Take to google, look for online jobs, look abroad for jobs because your life is ticking day by day,” he adds.
He stresses that those with jobs, should work hard and harness their skills and possibly do masters or PhDs degrees.

Dr Haabazoka further says those with poor grade 12 results should re-write some courses, take vocational skills training and acquire tevet skills.
“Zambia in the next 5 years will experience a deficit in hands own skills. Degree holders won’t be of much value for the employer as tevet skills are the ones needed for industry production,” he explains.
